04/19/2012 - State-of-the-art Exeter Hospital regional health center breaks ground
In a ceremonial groundbreaking on March 27, 2012, Exeter Hospital kicked off the construction phase of their new, state-of-the-art Epping Regional Health Center designed by Lavallee Brensinger Architects. The facility need arose as Exeter Hospital looked to streamline resources and create efficiencies, while consolidating their medical practices. Lavallee Brensinger worked closely with the hospital staff to design and implement a prototypical concept to meet and achieve the goals for the new Health Center.

07/11/2011 - Boy Scout Troup Earns Architectural Merit Badge
Manchester, NH's Boy Scout Troop 104 recently earned their Architectural Merit Badge with the assistance of Lavallee Brensginer Architects. The group toured the architects' offices to learn about the role of architects today.  The group then visited The Derryfield School new Gateway Building to see a project first hand.  Led by Lance Whitehead, the Scouts learned how various components come together, asked questions, and engaged the onsite Construction Manager, ProCon Construction, in the experience.  Through these tours, the boys gained an understanding of how well-designed buildings go from ideas to reality.

05/05/2011 - Kendal at Hanover Recognized by Long-Term Living
Among 50 submissions in the category of Dining Room Renovations, the Kendal at Hanover Cadbury Community Center renovation project has been selected as a finalist in the 3rd Annual Long-Term Living Remodel-Renovation Competition. Designed by Lavallee Brensinger Architects, this expansion and renovation project re-energizes and updates gathering and activity areas of Kendal’s continuing care retirement community. Residents now enjoy the choice of casual, formal or private dining areas, coffee bars, a 10,000 volume library and art room, supporting social interactions and building on the facility’s strong sense of community.

03/11/2011 - New Gateway Building at The Derryfield School
Construction has begun on The Derryfield School’s new Gateway Building, a $1.2 million project designed by Lavallee Brensinger Architects. The Gateway Building is replacing the Art House, which was formerly located on the site and was razed in early January. The new 8,132sf facility, which is considered to be the “front door” to The Derryfield School, was designed and is being constructed using energy efficiency specifications to reduce energy consumption. The two-level building will host two classroom/seminar spaces, an improved admission area, and business office space.

Continuing a successful longterm relationship with IDEXX Laboratories, Lavallee Brensinger Architects has been selected to design a new 3-story, 110,000 square foot corporate headquarters building for the growing international pet healthcare company in Westbrook, Maine. The new facility will complete Phase 2 of the company’s campus development plans. The building will be LEED Certified, and will be designed for compatibility with Lavallee Brensinger’s recent award-winning additions and renovations to IDEXX’s R&D and manufacturing facilities. The design effort will begin immediately.
