Merkert Chemistry Center

Select areas within the Merkert Chemistry Center were renovated for a new chemistry department Principal Investigator hire. This Principal Investigator was studying azaborines as high-capacity hydrogen storage materials, as novel optoelectronic materials and as electronically-modified isosteres of drugs as well as other biologically active compounds prior to joining Boston College. The new space was designed to facilitate this continued research advancement. A Revit model was used for configuring lab spaces, with tight spatial constraints in great detail.

He is a recipient of several awards including the Journal of Physical Organic Chemistry Award for Early Excellence. This new space will facilitate this continued research advancement.
