Salem High School and Career and Technical Education Center
Rejuvenation through Addition and Renovation
K-12 Education:
High Schools & Technical Centers
Lavallee Brensinger Architects was selected by the Salem School Board to rejuvenate their existing high school and regional technical center. In the 50-year-old facility, mechanical systems had outlived their useful life and the building did not meet current educational standards. The new comprehensive high school better accommodates the 1,200 student population by providing state-of-the-art educational space for all programs.
The new design supports the future needs of all students, whether they choose to attend a four-year university or join the workforce. Career Technical Programs are offered to all interested Salem students, as well as students from surrounding communities.
A significant aspect of the existing high school is their extracurricular opportunities. The new design supports these activities including: Art and Music, AFJROTC, Journalism, Drama, Health occupations, Debate, and Athletics.
