Boston Children's Hospital
Pediatric and Adult Pulmonary Medicine Department Renovations
Healthcare:
Ambulatory | Medical Office Building
Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) is dedicated to improving and advancing the health and wellbeing of children around the world through clinical care, biomedical research, medical education, and community engagement.
The BCH Pulmonary clinic treats patients of all ages (infants to adult) tracking them as they age with their pulmonary needs. The new clinic provides examination, research, testing and clinical trial spaces that allow patients to move seamlessly from one area to the next.
Lavallee Brensinger developed a comprehensive planning process, engaging staff, and developing a tailored program to meet the pulmonary patient needs. This hands-on approach gave the staff confidence that the finished space would meet if not exceed their needs and allow for future growth.
The Pulmonary clinic was expanded and relocated to a dedicated outpatient building on the hospital campus. A robust infrastructure renovation was required to address all the critical, mechanical, and medical requirements needed for this project type. The key to success was a team effort with Lavallee Brensinger leading the team of consultants working with BCH Engineering to solve difficult and complex challenges.
