Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinics in Manchester recently expanded their Wellington Road Ambulatory Surgery Center / Outpatient Specialties Building. The 90,000 SF expansion provides space for an independent ambulatory surgery center adding six state-of-the art operating rooms, a central suite, and a flexible, multi-specialty outpatient clinic floor.

With a focus on convenient, comprehensive services in one location, the expansion provides space for D-H to perform a variety of outpatient surgeries and procedures. The facility is optimized for comfort and care of pre- and post-op patients of all ages and includes dedicated areas for pediatric patients. Patient stations are flexible in design to allow for diverse utilization and can be quickly adapted to accommodate specific needs. The center includes centralized registration and checkout, an adaptable clinical pod, collaboration spaces for clinical staff practice groups, and integrated provider offices with acoustical privacy.

We were proud to assist Dartmouth Health in their goal to establish a physician practice prototype for primary care and specialists, which was applied to this project. The resulting design supports Dartmouth Health’s mission to guide and educate physicians as they develop the skills and expertise to provide safe, high value patient care through professional, ethical, and compassionate behavior.
