Valley Regional Hospital
Integrating New and Existing Resources

Healthcare:
Acute Care

This is the Hospital’s largest improvement project in its 115 year history. Building upon patient-centered care, the initiative includes the conversion of all inpatient rooms to private accommodations with new family-centered amenities, so that families can be part of the healing process. A new Emergency Department offers 50% more space and is located in close proximity to critical services such as radiology, laboratory, and surgery. Renovations of existing space provide an expanded occupational health department, rehabilitation gym, and more efficient same day surgery and acute care units. Hospital exterior changes include a new ambulance entrance, helipad location, and a new central plant facility.
