Washington State University asked Lavallee Brensinger Architects to prepare a feasibility study for a new Center for Experiential Learning. This renovation would not only benefit the College of Nursing but also other community partners. The recommended planning solution included a comprehensive simulation center on one level, flexible health assessment and task training skills labs, and a re-imagined approach to faculty offices and workspaces. This collaborative design venture included goal setting, benchmarking against peer institutions, stakeholder interviews, program development, preparation of planning scenarios, phasing, and preliminary cost estimates.
