Community Spotlight: Courtney Carrier, Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester

The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester (MHCGM) provides mental health services to all community members

From our beginning in 1976, founder Don Lavallee focused on doing his best to make things better and inspired others to do the same. He cared deeply about our team, our work, and our community. Today, the tradition of giving back remains an important part of what makes Lavallee Brensinger Architects a rewarding place to work and create.

We are excited to spotlight Project Designer, Courtney Carrier, who is currently carrying on a Lavallee Brensinger tradition of serving as a Board Member for the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester.

1. What is your current role/position?

I am a Board Member for Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester (MHCGM).

2. What does this organization bring to the community?

MHCGM is the largest provider of behavioral health services here in New Hampshire. The Nonprofit Organization offers support and responsive care for those struggling with mental health for everyone in our community and its neighborhoods.

3. Why is this organization important to you?

As a designer, creating spaces that bring people and communities together excites me the most. The best way to do this is to immerse yourself in the community you are serving and MHCGM does just through their mission of public service and health. As an organization MHCGM reaches into all parts of our society and helps people of all ages and backgrounds. This is important to me as it is designed to serve all who need access, compassion and support without bias. As a person who lives and works in this community it is crucial for me to do the same both in professional practice and life so that I too can best serve my community and peers.
