Lilliana Alvarado, IIDA, NCIDQ, LEED AP, a Senior Interior Designer with Lavallee Brensinger Architects in Manchester, NH and Charlestown, MA, recently passed the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID) examination and earned the prestigious AAHID Certificate. Lilliana is one of only five Board Certified Healthcare Interior Designers in all of New England.

Passage of the examination and earning the AAHID credential signifies that Lilliana has met the standards for education, experience, and examination, and is a board certified healthcare interior designer. The AAHID examination is a rigorous assessment requiring examinees to demonstrate competence in a variety of aspects that affect the healthcare interior environment. The examination covers acute care, ambulatory care/outpatient, long term care/senior living, medical facilities, support services, allied professions, codes and guidelines, environmental, evidence based design, and professional business practice.
Lilliana has 15 years of experience in designing for healthcare. In her current position with Lavallee Brensinger Architects, she is a senior member of the Interior Design Group, with a specialty in healthcare environments. Her recent projects with Lavallee Brensinger Architects include work for Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Tufts Medical Center, Longwood Pediatrics, Baystate Health, Concord Hospital, and Brattleboro Retreat.
