Project architect Ron Lamarre, of Lavallee Brensinger Architects, led a presentation for the students on the process of putting together a major project of the scope of the library addition. He tied the discussion into concepts the students learn in school, from math calculations of space needs to using art skills to produce renderings, and teamwork and problem-solving to come up with a solution the town could agree on.
“One of the big things was more space. Who here thinks this library needs more space?” Lamarre asked.
All the students raised their hands.
